What you’ll be doing
The Senior Consultant for Operation Risk Methodology and Taxonomies will play a critical role in supporting and validating the second line of defense (2LOD) in risk management. As the Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the framework and taxonomies that support operational risk management, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with various teams to enhance risk management practices.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Maintain framework – Update and manage the Operational Risk Management and Operational Resilience Framework.
Maintain taxonomies – Update and manage taxonomies, including Operational Risk Event, Cause, Impact, Process, and Product taxonomies, to support operational risk management.
Independence – Ensure three lines of defence methodology is documented, communicated and followed.
Support – Provide ongoing guidance and support on the operationalization of the framework and taxonomies.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience (3-5 years) in operational risk management or a related field and have knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance monitoring. It’s an asset if you have experience in developing and managing frameworks and taxonomies.
You can demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
