About the Role


War Room is looking for an experienced Senior Campaign Manager to join our growing Performance team. In this role, you will lead the strategy, execution, and performance optimization of complex digital advertising campaigns for some of our largest and most complex clients.


As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of campaign strategy, provide advanced optimization insights, and guide the execution of omnichannel paid media initiatives across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers, Optimization Specialists, and Data Analysts to develop data-driven strategies that drive measurable performance and exceed client objectives.


The Senior Campaign Manager also plays an important role in improving campaign processes, troubleshooting complex technical challenges, and mentoring Campaign Managers and Assistant Campaign Managers to ensure operational excellence across the team.


What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Campaign Strategy & Leadership
    1. Lead the planning and execution of complex paid media strategies across multiple platforms including programmatic, search, and social.
    2. Develop strategic recommendations to drive performance improvements for high-value client accounts.
    3. Identify opportunities to improve campaign structure, targeting, and bidding strategies to maximize return on investment.
    4. Translate campaign data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for internal teams and clients.
  2. Campaign Management & Optimization
    1. Oversee the setup, trafficking, and ongoing management of large-scale digital advertising campaigns.
    2. Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, and performance to ensure campaigns meet or exceed client KPIs.
    3. Conduct advanced campaign analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
    4. Implement optimization strategies across channels to improve campaign efficiency and performance.
  3. Technical Execution & Troubleshooting
    1. Provide advanced technical support for troubleshooting issues related to creative assets, tracking tags, platform integrations, and data discrepancies.
    2. Work with internal teams to ensure tracking, tagging, and attribution are implemented correctly.
    3. Escalate platform issues to technology partners when required and manage resolution.
  4. Reporting & Performance Insights
    1. Analyze campaign data and performance trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
    2. Support Account Managers with strategic reporting and performance analysis for clients.
    3. Ensure accurate reporting and data integrity across platforms and analytics tools.
  5. Collaboration & Team Development
    1. Partner closely with Account Managers, Optimization Specialists, and Data Analysts to drive strong campaign outcomes.
    2. Mentor Campaign Managers and Assistant Campaign Managers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
    3. Contribute to improving internal campaign management processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.


Skills + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in digital campaign management, media planning/buying, or advertising, either in an agency or in-house environment.
  • Experience with digital media planning and buying across multiple channels including programmatic, search, and social.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale digital media budgets of $5M+ annually.
  • Certification in DV360, SA360, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook/Meta.
  • Certification in Campaign Manager 360 (CM360).
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing campaigns on Search Ads platforms (Google, Microsoft Bing, Yahoo) and DV360.
  • Strong working knowledge of Facebook Business Manager, Campaign Manager 360 (DCM), and other demand-side platforms.
  • Experience working with third-party creative automation platforms such as Spaceback.
  • Experience using Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) tools.
  • Familiarity with media research and planning tools such as ComScore, eMarketer, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager, including understanding tags and troubleshooting tracking issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, dashboards, and macros.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising and ad tech ecosystem.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure across different business verticals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
