Kingsdale Advisors is hiring a Sr Business Writer / Content Director to lead the development of authoritative, analytical and sector-specific reports and commentary in support of our shareholder and governance advisory work.
We are looking for a seasoned financial communications expert or a business journalist who has successfully moved from financial reporting into corporate thought leadership. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the ideal candidate has a strong track record of producing in-depth analysis, reports and commentary for C-suite, board members, investors and other senior decision makers in capital markets.
In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of thought leadership content: ideation, development, publication, measurement and continuous improvement to align with marketing goals. You will create formal, high-impact materials that reinforce Kingsdale’s position as the premium advisory partner for complex shareholder and governance matters.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyze and author comprehensive reports on proxy season, M&A, shareholder activism, governance issues and related sector-specific developments (for example, mining, insurance and energy).
- Work with various departments within Kingsdale to leverage internal expertise and build exclusive content that supports strategic campaigns and elevates our value proposition.
- Develop content that sets industry benchmarks, including thought leadership for annual reports, white papers, case studies and executive briefings.
- Deliver timely, data-driven commentary on market developments, regulatory changes and emerging risks and opportunities in key sectors.
- Repurpose thought leadership into multiple content assets to maximize reach across channels, including executive summaries, infographics, article series and social content.
- Track content performance metrics including engagement and downloads to refine content strategy, improve impact and support sales and marketing.
- Monitor industry trends to help maintain Kingsdale’s leadership position in shareholder and governance advisory.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in business journalism, investor relations or corporate communications within financial services, capital markets or advisory firms.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality formal reports and sector-specific analysis for C-suite audiences.
- Exceptional research, writing and editing skills, with the ability to swiftly turn complex information into clear, actionable insight.
- Strong understanding of proxy contests, M&A, shareholder activism and governance trends.
- Experience using content analytics platforms and applying data to shape content strategy.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, specialized environment.
- Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing workflows is an asset.
