Summary:

In this role, you will execute and implement the comprehensive marketing strategy to reach target audiences across the spend management business unit and ensure a cohesive and integrated approach. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and the cross functional team, running multiple marketing workstreams simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery via optimal channels. You will have a combination of strategic thinking and excellent project management skills to effectively develop project plans, set clear objectives and monitor progress to ensure successful implementation of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder influence: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including BU category leaders, marketing colleagues and other teams. Effectively create and communicate marketing strategies, gain buy-in, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely business unit (BU) marketing category leads, sales and delivery, enterprise marketing, public relations and events team to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy implementation across all touchpoints. Foster strong relationships and effective communication to ensure streamlined execution of integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Spend Management Strategy: Lead development of BU messaging and strategy integration across events, publications and speaking opportunities. Ensure seamless integration of BU-level marketing efforts across different channels such as digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and traditional advertising. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align messaging and branding across all touchpoints.

  • Stay updated on marketing best practices: Continuously enhance knowledge of marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Attend industry conferences, participate in training programs, and seek opportunities to expand expertise in integrated marketing strategies.

Support for Outsourcing and Procure to Pay:

  • Brand Management: Develop foundational and advanced positioning, and unique selling propositions for assigned category and customer type, making sure all Vizient brand standards are adhered to. Deliver crucial brand value messages that deepen customer engagement and strengthen the organization's brand identity through consistent messaging and visual elements, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels.

  • Content Development: Collaborate with marketing colleagues, business stakeholders and external agencies (as needed) to develop compelling marketing materials and implement campaigns that demonstrate how Vizient solutions meet customer needs, evaluate campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize results.

  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments, including category and enterprise, marketing research and ops, events and public relations teams. Ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business goals, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and gather insights to improve marketing execution. Act as a bridge between the marketing team and other business units to ensure cohesive and synchronized efforts. Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in marketing, communications, business, or relevant discipline preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience is required.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing content strategies across multiple channels.

  • Experience in content production and syndication, either in-house or with external agency. 

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and optimize content performance.  

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to keep the BU marketing team up to date on all workstreams and marketing activities. 

  • Strategic mindset and a passion for driving marketing excellence. 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to manage upward. 

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
