About the role

Senior HR Business Partner - (Investigations COE) - Respect in the Workplace

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources professional to join our team. Depending on your level of experience, you will either support or lead key initiatives in ensuring a respectful workplace in a hybrid work environment. This role requires strong collaboration skills as you will partner closely with various lines of business across the organization.

The focus of this role will include developing and implementing workplace harassment prevention strategies for employees and managers, as well as training, development, and support for the human resources community in relation to the Respect in the Workplace Program and its governance.
 

What you’ll do here:

  • Develop innovative practices and recommendations to various aspects of the Respect in the Workplace Program:

    • The Policy

    • The governance of the investigation teams,

    • The development of organizational training on respect in the workplace for employees,

    • Evolve organizational training on respect in the workplace for all levels of management across the country,

    • Develop and facilitate ongoing training for the Human Resources community on the application and understanding of respect in the workplace investigations and investigation report writing.

  • Anticipate needs and develop proactive strategies to support the Respect in the Workplace program.

  • Collaborate across departments including corporate communications, legal, corporate human resources, compliance, information technology, etc.

  •  Act as an expert to the human resources community across the country regarding respect in the workplace when issues are complex.

  • Compile and analyze the global trend analysis in preparation for quarterly Respect in the Workplace executive summaries to the Board of Directors.

  • Responsible to ensure alignment of industry and market best practices, conduct gap analysis and propose alignments for our Canadian operations.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bilingualism in French and English is required. You will need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country

  • University degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management or a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years experience in human resources, ideally in a RITW function or demonstrated strong investigative experience.

  • Experience in harassment investigation and implementation of national HR programs (preferred).

  • Demonstrated strategic focus, autonomy, and a demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and partnership abilities, flexibility in work execution.

  • Strong aptitude for coaching and continuous learning.

  • High capacity for managing stress and strong ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Solid experience in aligning human resources strategies with corporate business objectives.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail oriented as well as demonstrated ability to be agile and pivot, critical thinking ability to conduct trend & data analysis.

  • A range of experience levels will be considered, with a strong preference for demonstrated strong investigative experience & skill set; experience leading investigative teams or respect in the workplace/harassment prevention methodology.

  • CHRP designation. (desired)

  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
