Business Systems Analyst (6 month contract to start - Remote Work/Downtown Toronto)
Our client in the Financial Services industry is looking for talented individuals to trail blaze with them in increasing their capacity to satisfy their growing client demand. Responsibilities
- As a senior analyst on complex programs, work
with business stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, collaborate on
process models with an understanding of system capabilities, analyze data
needs, assist in evaluating solutions, and ensure appropriate testing against
requirements
- Work collaboratively within the Business
Transformation team and with key colleagues across the firm, including the Technology
team and business subject matter experts in documenting functional, data, and
technical requirements, and assist the project manager in defining project
tasks and business cases
- Facilitate workshops with both business and
technical colleagues to gather information for the development of technical requirements
- Manage the prioritization of requirements for
changes to our core systems
- Develop UAT test plans and support UAT with
Business stakeholders
- Oversee data mapping for integration
activity between applications
- Collaborate with project managers, developers,
and other members of the cross-functional team
- Guide and mentor junior team members, helping
ensure consistency and quality
Requirements
- Minimum
5+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst or
Business Analyst
- Diploma/Degree
in business administration, computer science, information technology, or
related field, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
- Ability
to communicate with business and technical stakeholders
- Experience
with Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience
in Waterfall and Agile-based projects
- Ability
to work with Business Process models (BPMN)
- Experience
with User Interface and User Experience (UX) design, wireframing,
and prototyping
- Ideally experience with Data Engineering and Data Science Teams
- Ability
to support multiple projects concurrently, balancing deliverables, and
prioritizing across projects
- Experience with DW and Microsoft Fabric is an asset
