About the team

The Global Institutional Sales Support & Client Relations team is critical to the success of the Institutional and National Accounts business at AGF. The team works closely and in partnership with sales and investment management teams globally. Moreover, the team liaises with various departments within the organization to ensure the information (both data and qualitative material) required for the business to respond to client requirements and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are accurate and high quality. This enables AGF to win new business, retain clients and support the firm’s overall growth strategy. The team is also responsible for all client deliverables, maintaining consultant databases and responding to due diligence questionnaires and public surveys that build our brand.

About the role

Reporting to the Director, Global Institutional Sales Support & Client Relations, you will have dual responsibilities; 50% of your time servicing and interacting directly with clients, 50% of your time will be spent performing RFP Writer duties, including oversight of consultant databases (~20%).

Your responsibilities:

RFP Writing:

  • Responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) from prospective clients and consultants across the Institutional and Strategic Accounts business channels;
  • Maintaining an organized repository of approved narratives for each of the marketed strategies;
  • Working with different internal groups to supply information for consultant databases and due diligence portals.

Client Service:

  • Delivering quality client service to AGF’s global institutional and strategic clients;
  • Generating client reporting on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis;
  • Managing the coordination of internal/external meetings, including the preparation and presentation of materials;
  • Functioning as a critical relationship/sales contact with all internal teams at AGF; and supporting institutional sales professionals, consultant relations team members and client service teams as needed;
  • Completing ad hoc data and regular reporting requests.

General:

  • Acting as a team liaison with other departments within AGF such as Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Investment Management;
  • Contributing ideas on process improvement and brainstorming solutions in a team environment;

Your qualifications:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in RFP writing and institutional client support;
  • A Bachelor’s degree, if you are progressing towards CFA designation this is considered an asset;
  • Understanding of the investment management business in order to respond to complex RFPs;
  • Experience with institutional client deliverables;
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Proactive and takes initiative;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Ability to work independently and within established guidelines;
  • Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and meeting strict timelines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with individuals inside and outside of the organization and at all levels; and
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Assets:

  • Familiarity with proposal software, proposal submission portals and consultant databases
  • Fluency in written and verbal French
