Senior Architect

We are seeking a Senior Architect with over 15 years of IT experience, specializing in designing, architecting, and implementing scalable, extensible, and maintainable enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in multi-tier architectures, enterprise application design, and cloud technologies (AWS). Extensive client-facing experience in industries like the Airline domain is highly valued. Experience with PNR systems or airline customer management integrations is a significant advantage. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement high-level, system, and non-functional requirements (NFR) architecture for enterprise applications.
2. Architect scalable and resilient multi-tier systems to support business growth and future extensibility.
3. Lead end-to-end design for cloud-based and on-premise solutions, including data center designs and high-availability configurations.
4. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
5. Lead modernization efforts, including refactoring and redesigning legacy systems to align with current technologies and best practices.
6. Oversee application performance tuning, debugging, and optimization using tools like JProfiler , Memory Analyzer etc. .
7. Leverage Agile and Waterfall methodologies for planning, tracking, and executing development iterations.
8. Implement secure and high-performance solutions using AWS services like S3 Bucket, Lambda, NoSQL , SNS , SQS , AMQ , Event Bus , Secret Manager , Elastic Cache , , and API Gateway.
9. Drive continuous integration, deployment, and delivery practices using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, and BitBucket.
10. Exposure the API management tool such as Swagger , MuleSoft.
11. Ability to design solutions that work across connected applications and make the best use of shared parts. And also  able to review different options and suggest the best solution when there are multiple choices.

Technical Expertise:

1. Proficiency in Java, Spring boot , Muti tier architecture , PL-SQL, and Shell scripting.
2. Expertise in web development using Angular, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript , and Servlets.
3. AWS Lambda using latest java runtime , Microservices using  spring boot.
4. Experience with frameworks like Spring, angular , Hibernate, Struts, and JSF , JPA.
5. Advanced knowledge of Oracle Databases (19c) and Cloud Services (OCI, RAC, Data Guard).
6. Hands-on experience with SOAP, SOA, and RESTful web services.
7. Strong foundation in testing frameworks like JUnit and CI/CD tools like Maven and Ansible.

 
Tools & Platforms:

1. Build/Release: Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Ansible.
2. Application Servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat(TomEE).
3. Operating Systems: AWS Linux , Windows .
4. Code Coverage: Emma, Clover , JUnit.

 
Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong architectural skills in high-level design, system design, low-level design, and non-functional requirements (NFR).
2. In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and Waterfall model execution.
3. Expertise in managing enterprise applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
4. Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
5. Deep familiarity with data security, encryption (AES-128, AES-256 , SHA-1), and data lifecycle management.
6. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively across global geographies.

Compensation
Good faith, target annual salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 CAD and is commensurate with experience. Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
