Job Description:

Department Overview 

The Enterprise Data Risk Management (DRM)'s Oversight function is responsible for advising, monitoring, challenge, and control testing adherence to Enterprise Data and Information Management Policy, Standards, and the TD Bank Group Data Risk Management Framework. The team defines and communicates challenge requirements and assesses reporting metrics and analytics for input to challenge.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a DRM Senior Analyst within our Reporting & Analytics Team.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Conduct structured challenge through deep dive reviews of the 1st line of defence (1LOD) produced Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) metrics and supporting data; assessment of key assumptions, limitations, and potential blind spots; benchmarking and trend analysis to identify inconsistencies or outliers
  • Provide insights via recurring and ad-hoc analytics to support the broader group challenge of risk and performance reporting deliverables for the DRM team (e.g., Data Risk Profile and Key Risk Indicator reporting)
  • Act as the reporting subject matter expert, ensuring deep understanding of 1st LOD KIs from a measurement and logic perspective
  • Engage in detailed challenge throughout ongoing targeted challenge of 1st LOD, including KI development, change management, and oversight
  • Support the annual refresh and implementation of RAS measures through the Enterprise program, including documentation, review cycles, and change tracking

Job Requirements:

  • Experience within 1st or 2nd line risk management and/or governance space performing independent challenge
  • Experience with design, development, and calculation of enterprise or business line metrics
  • Experience working with data to support risk analysis (in-depth knowledge of Power BI/Python/VBA preferred)
  • Experience with drawing key insights and observations from reporting and analytics
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate challenge clearly and constructively, and engage stakeholders across functions.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo by leveraging critical thinking and strong problem solving skills
