TMX Group is seeking a highly motivated Investor Relations Senior Professional to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in managing the communication and relationships between the company and the investment community. The candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and have a solid understanding of financial markets and accounting principles.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Preparation of quarterly and annual earnings releases, management discussion and analysis, investor presentations, CFO remarks, and other investor materials

  • Build and maintain financial models and conduct analysis of the company's financial performance, industry trends, and competitor analysis

  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify key performance drivers and effectively communicate messages through key disclosure documents

  • Monitor and analyze sell-side analyst reports and summarize findings for internal stakeholders (including Board, Senior Management Team, and Executive Operating and Risk Committee)

Investor Communication & Relationship Management:

  • Field institutional buy-side and sell-side inquiries for all investor relations matters

  • Prioritize and coordinate investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows

  • Maintain and update the investor relations website and other communication platforms

  • Track and analyze investor sentiment and make recommendations to management

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key members of the investment community (sell-side analysts, current and potential shareholders)

  • Prepare presentations and reports for the Board and SMT to provide insights on investor feedback, market trends, and peer benchmarking

  • Collaborate with various internal teams, including business leads, finance partners, legal, communications, and audit to prepare critical communications materials

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, or equivalent

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), and financial modeling

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly organized and meticulous with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong work ethic and a proactive approach

Nice to haves:

  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets

  • Experience with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P CapiQ)

  • CFA or CPA designation, or working towards it

Note: Hybrid role 2 -3 days in the Toronto downtown office
