Senior Actuarial Analyst

Are you looking to join a team of driven professionals in a close-knit team? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Dealer Services corporate actuarial team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, P&C where you will provide actuarial services to support the continued growth and success of our diverse P&C portfolio.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Perform valuation and financial projections of various P&C products (e.g. extended warranty, replacement insurance);
• Perform drivers of earnings analysis and communicate findings to senior management;
• Complete regulatory requirements such as MCT, P&C returns, FCT and Appointed Actuary Report;
• Assist in profitability assessment of different P&C insurance and warranty products;
• Assist in IBNR and loss ratio analyses;
• Develop, maintain, and improve financial reporting and projection models.

What Do I Need in Order to Succeed in This Role?

• Bachelor in actuarial sciences, mathematics, or statistics;
• Associate of the CAS and interest in attaining FCAS designation;
• 3 or more years of P&C actuarial experience;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other MS Office programs;
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines;
• Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with all levels of staff;
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

What Would Be a Nice To Have but not Required?

• Experience with R and SQL;
• Knowledge of AXIS;
• Knowledge of IFRS 17;
• Knowledge of the Auto Industry;
• Full working proficiency in French.

The typical hiring range for this position is from $82,000 and $115,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
