About the Position
The Senior Accountant will be part of the Canadian Divisional Controller team, with personnel in across Canada. The successful applicant will support the day-to-day finance functions in accordance with corporate requirements.

The successful applicant will be head quartered out of the Burlington Ontario area.
The primary responsibilities include:
Perform all trade accounts receivable and ensure they are posted and collected in a timely manner.
Perform all premium payables and ensure they are paid in a timely manner.
Investigate all aged balances and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve.
Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics
Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accurate financial statement reporting.
Work cross-functionally with other departments for all financial matters.
Maintain up to date records of finance in all finance systems.
Act as a liaison between various teams to facilitate any issues requiring resolution.
Be an integral team member by providing support where needed.
Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions
Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics
Improve upon existing and implement new reporting as requested by management
Various other assignments, as required
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma considered an asset
Accounting courses, or bookkeeping experience considered an asset
Advanced MS Excel skills, with ability to analyze data using complex functions and pivot tables
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 CAD and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
