The Role

BinSentry is seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in an agile environment and is passionate about
building scalable processes. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential, ideal for someone
who is ready to take ownership of key accounting functions and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities


  • Accounts & Allocations: Oversee complex general ledger accounts including deferred revenue,
    inventory, and COGS.
  • Month-End Close: Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  •  Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
    statements in accordance with ASPE.
  •  Audit Management: Liase with external auditors, providing audit requests and supporting
    schedules to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  •  Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems,
    and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the company scales.
  •  Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and
    Development.

What Success Looks Like

In your first year you will:

  • Accelerate the month-end close cycle, ensuring clean, accurate reconciliations and financial
    statements are completed predictably each month.
  • Establish strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Development to provide
    actionable accurate reporting and analysis, and operational alignment.
  • Optimize and document core accounting processes—to build scalable internal controls and
    processes as BinSentry grows.

Qualifications

Required


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA designation (or in progress).
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate logic and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight
    timelines with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred


Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
