Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Financial Accountant to manage our client accounting projects and migration projects from other accounting software to Zoho Books. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition for our clients and maintaining the integrity of their financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Management:

- Manage and oversee monthly client accounting operations within Zoho Books.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records.
- Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform detailed reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Migration Projects:

- Plan and execute data migration projects from various accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to Zoho Books.
- Develop customized migration strategies tailored to each client's business operations.
- Ensure zero downtime and seamless business operations during live migration processes.
- Guarantee secure and thorough transfer of financial data, including legacy data up to 20 years.
- Perform detailed reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
- Identify and resolve any data inconsistencies or errors.
- Offer up to 6 months of post-migration support to ensure clients are fully proficient and comfortable with the new system.
- Address client queries and provide solutions to any issues that arise during the transition.

Project Management:

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of migration and accounting projects.
- Monitor project progress and report on key metrics.
- Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes and procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in Zoho Books and other accounting software.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of migration projects.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for data migration and client support.



Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
  • Inter Chartered Accountant (CA) OR Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance

  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional accounting experience

  • Strong proficiency in online accounting software (Zoho Books preferred)

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: IF formulas, Lookups, Pivot Tables

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client or business-facing interactions

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ownership-driven environment

  • Ability to work EST hours (5:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST) consistently


Nice to Have
  • Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books

  • Experience in SaaS, fin-tech, accounting firm

  • Experience with data migration projects

  • Advanced Excel skills including: Power Query, Power Pivot

  • Experience in building SQL reports


Work Setup
  • Remote (BYOD): Must have a personal laptop/PC and a stable internet connection

  • Working Hours: EST time zone (5 AM – 2 PM EST)

  • Work Environment: High-autonomy, ownership-heavy, and fast-paced
