Synopsis of the role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of sales and account management.

This is a strategic Account Manager role focused on driving revenue through sales and developing key partnerships within the Workforce Solutions sector, particularly with payroll companies. The position requires a combination of sales acumen, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of data security and compliance within the Canadian market.

What you'll do 

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within target markets.

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and revenue retention.

  • Solicit, build, and maintain strong relationships with payroll companies, understanding their needs and challenges.

  • Develop and execute a clear sales and partnership strategy that aligns with business goals and market opportunities.

  • Lead contract negotiations, including terms, pricing, and service levels, in alignment with company objectives.

  • Develop and execute account plans that deliver on revenue targets and support business growth strategies.

  • Ensure knowledge & adherence to all data security protocols, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, Canadian privacy laws), and compliance requirements related to handling sensitive payroll information.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance, product and technology) to ensure seamless solutions delivery and system integration

  • Prepare forecast, pipeline reports, and performance analysis to make informed sales decisions.

  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions to strengthen our presence in the market.

What Experience you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

  • 7+ years in sales and account management, ideally in B2B.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate complex solutions to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership at payroll companies.

What could set you apart

  • Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset

  • Strong negotiations and influencing skills, with the ability to close deals and build long-term partnerships.

  • Comfortable operating in a hybrid role that requires both independent initiatives and collaborative teamwork.

  • Able to manage diverse and complex issues independently

  • Able to identify challenges, develop creative solutions, and adapt strategies in a dynamic market environment.

  • A strong drive to achieve and exceed sales and partnership targets.
