Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Executive Counsel
  • Provide senior-level strategic counsel to clients on digital transformation, social, content ecosystems, CRM, and emerging technology.

  • Identify business problems and growth opportunities, framing digital as a driver of brand equity and revenue.

  • Lead integration across Edelman’s integrated grid (Creative, Strategy, Paid, Data, Influencer, Corporate, Health, etc.).

  • Uphold the highest standards of digital thinking, execution, and innovation.

  • Contribute to practice development and leadership within the Digital team.

2. Strategic Thinking & Digital Vision
  • Lead the accurate identification of client challenges and define clear, insight-driven digital strategies.

  • Develop integrated digital roadmaps aligned to business KPIs.

  • Translate cultural, platform, and audience insights into scalable programs.

  • Guide measurement frameworks tied to performance, growth, and optimization.

3. Creative Championing
  • Partner closely with Creative and Strategy leadership to ensure digital-first ideas are bold, culturally relevant, and executionally strong.

  • Elevate creative ambition within the account team and with clients.

  • Ensure work delivered meets Edelman’s creative standards and platform best practices.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and iterative improvement.

4. Business Partnering & Client Leadership
  • Be viewed by clients as a trusted strategic partner invested in their long-term success.

  • Maintain deep understanding of client business, category dynamics, and competitive landscape.

  • Lead senior client relationships and influence decision-making at the executive level.

  • Drive organic growth through proactive opportunity identification and strategic upsell.

5. Account & Financial Management
  • Own revenue, forecasting, profitability, and organic growth targets across assigned accounts.

  • Ensure disciplined scope management, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.

  • Oversee staffing plans to align team capabilities with client needs.

  • Drive operational excellence across planning, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Mitigate risk and resolve complex account management challenges.

6. Collaboration & Integration
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across disciplines and offices.

  • Model collaborative behaviors that drive cohesion and shared accountability.

  • Establish clear communication channels across internal stakeholders.

  • Champion integrated thinking across earned, owned, paid, and experiential touchpoints.

7. Skillful Communication
  • Deliver persuasive, executive-level presentations and thought leadership.

  • Adapt communication style to stakeholders ranging from junior team members to C-suite executives.

  • Ensure transparency, alignment, and clarity across internal and client communications.

  • Translate complex digital concepts into clear business value narratives.

8. Mentoring & Team Development
  • Lead and develop high-performing digital teams.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Provide coaching on strategic thinking, client leadership, and digital innovation.

  • Create clear growth pathways and succession plans within the team.

9. Culture & Contribution
  • Demonstrate a positive, solutions-oriented leadership style.

  • Contribute actively to Edelman’s culture, knowledge sharing, and innovation agenda.

  • Embody Edelman’s values in leadership, collaboration, and client engagement.

Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience in digital strategy, social, integrated marketing, or communications.

  • Proven experience leading large, complex client portfolios.

  • Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.

  • Demonstrated success driving organic growth and new business.

  • Deep understanding of digital ecosystem: social platforms, paid media, analytics, influencer, content production, and emerging technologies.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
