Job Description

The Security Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Security and Site Facility 
Supervisor in developing and implementing security protocols to protect the construction site, personnel, and equipment. This role involves responding to security incidents and maintaining site facilities.

  • Assist in developing and implementing security protocols to protect the construction site, personnel, and equipment from theft, vandalism, and other security threats.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and report findings to the Security and Site Facility Supervisor.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of site facilities, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Ensure all site facilities comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, maintenance activities, and facility inspections.
  • Maintain effective communication with managers and team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
  • Oversee a subcontractor team, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, promoting a positive team environment and a culture of collaboration.

Work Conditions:

May require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet 
project deadlines.
 

Required Skills and Competencies

  •  Must possess a valid Ontario Driving license G or G2.
  •  Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Security Management, or a related field. Relevant experience may offset educational requirements.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in security management or facilities maintenance, in large and complex construction project/ industrial project/ logistic project.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple locations and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, systems, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance and management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
