The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sector Lead, Post-Secondary to drive our growth and success within the post-secondary education sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years of project management experience, who combines technical expertise with a strategic, entrepreneurial mindset. As the Sector Lead, you will oversee the delivery of complex projects, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to expanding our business footprint. The role requires flexibility for travel to support projects and business development activities.

What You’ll Do:

Project Leadership:

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of multiple projects within the post-secondary education sector, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Promote and integrate innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Business Growth and Development:

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to craft and execute strategies for expanding our presence in the post-secondary education sector.
  • Actively engage in the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for potential projects.
  • Serve as a trusted representative of the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to position the company as a leader in the sector.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop team members to build capacity and expertise within the post-secondary education sector.
  • Foster a collaborative and client-focused culture that supports both individual and organizational success.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A commitment to excellence, a passion for your work, and an entrepreneurial approach to business growth.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (professional architectural or engineering license preferred).
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience delivering large, complex design and construction projects, with significant expertise in the post-secondary education industry.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building lasting relationships.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.

Location and Travel:
This role is based in Toronto and will require regular travel to project sites and client meetings. Attendance at industry events across Canada may also be required.
