Primary Functions

  • Support the software development teams apply the Scrum framework.
  • Plan deliverables and help teams monitor performance.
  • Resolve issues that hinder the teams’ work.
  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers).
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in Netsuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable and that the project management tool in Netsuite is properly and fully utilized.
  • Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers and this is a major area of accountability for a Project Manager. 
  • Comply with the privacy, security and confidentiality policies. 

Prerequisites

  • At least 5 years of experience in Agile development including coaching on agile methodologies and tools along with experience working with API/UI, Java based technologies and teams that support frontline experiences.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures, and technical standards and proven leadership experience in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, estimation, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, burndown tracking and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Asks difficult questions, removes impediments, and makes issues and problems visible. 
  • Collaborates with the team on possible solutions and escalates as necessary.
  • Coaches the development team and stakeholders on how to use Agile/Scrum tools and practices at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams with diverse personalities, during high pressure scenarios, within extremely tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates awareness of Agile and DevOps technology practices (e.g., Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration).
