As a Scrum Master, you will lead Agile practices for multiple teams, manage the backlog, and promote collaboration within a cross-functional Agile software development team. You will also provide process improvement advice to government personnel and interact with senior client leadership in delivery engagements.
VetsEZ is seeking a Scrum Master to join a 100% remote team supporting a large federal government project. In this role, you will lead Agile practices for multiple teams, help manage and prioritize work through the backlog, creatively solve problems to achieve outcomes, track team progress, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Note: The candidate must reside within the continental U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate scrum meetings and remove blockers (PI Planning, Retrospectives, Daily Stand-ups, Demos, etc.).
- Build relationships to foster collaboration, transparency, and innovation within a cross-functional Agile software development team supporting CI/CD.
- Promote Agile quality practices, coordinate across organizations, and serve as a resource for questions.
- Advise government personnel on process improvements and standardization.
- Collaborate with senior client leadership teams in client-delivery engagements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Proven experience leading Agile teams with automated application deployments, scaling, and management.
- Strong background in large-scale software development, data management, and software integration projects.
- Expertise in the SAFe Agile framework.
- Experience with Project and Configuration Management tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub).
- Experience facilitating briefings to senior leadership and capturing actions from meetings.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on technical documentation.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, tools, processes, and frameworks is a plus.
- SAFe Certified Scrum Master.
- InterSystems technology experience is a plus.
- Healthcare-related experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
