ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Project Engineer, coordinating stakeholders on SCADA projects.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and submittal requirements while working closely with the project management and engineering teams.
  • Coordinate SCADA system design integration, configuration, and implementation across renewable projects
  • Establish procedures and strategies for system start-up, commissioning, and operational readiness for renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate closely with construction teams and subcontractors
  • Conduct regular project coordination meetings with stakeholders, maintain detailed meeting minutes, and track action items
  • Manage system performance testing, SCADA startup testing, and coordination with utilities and grid operators for interconnection requirements.
  • Support development and implementation of commissioning, turnover, and testing procedures
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, EPC clients, and construction teams to provide technical coordination and SCADA subject matter support.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules for SCADA equipment, communication hardware, and control system components to align with project timelines.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) by reviewing procedures, participating in testing activities, and incorporating results into commissioning plans.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and execute testing activities throughout the SCADA project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, document test results, witness final system testing, and compile project documentation and test certificates.
  • Ensure all relevant as-built drawings and documentation are updated in accordance with project procedures.
  • Coordinate vendor participation in commissioning activities, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and operator training.
  • Track and resolve issues in collaboration with management, engineering, quality control teams, and contractors while managing punch list and project closeout activities.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SCADA systems, controls engineering, automation, or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCADA architecture, communication protocols, and control systems integration.
  • Working knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, or IEC protocols is preferred.
  • Experience supporting commissioning, system startup, or Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, network diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed
