Your role at Clorox:

The Supply Chain Services Lead will oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) in Canada serving as the functional leader of project delivery, continuous improvement, margin transformation and governance of the Stage Gate process. This pivotal role requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence and cross-functional collaboration. They will act as a key partner to Commercial Sales & Marketing teams, supporting the Commercialization and Product Life Cycle process to deliver measurable results.

In this role, you will:

  • Project Management: Lead a team of Project Managers (5) and Product Data Planners (2) with oversight of the Commercialization, Stage Gate, Secondary Display planning, Continuous Improvement, Capital and Cost savings processes including resource planning, management, monitoring and the reporting of project outcomes \ statuses.  As well and as required, act as the Project Manager for select projects.
  • Enhance project management maturity and capability within the SBA by leveraging expertise to provide advice, guidance, monitoring, assurance, advocacy and education. Support staff at all levels in effectively managing and delivering programs and projects.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide project reporting systems, emphasizing value-added insights, proactive risk identification, and timely resolution of issues. This includes creating and deploying project portfolio prioritization methodologies to align initiatives with strategic objectives. Provide Coaching and mentorship to Project Sponsors and Project Managers, fostering leadership capabilities and enhancing project execution across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing, implementing, and maintaining a pipeline of cost reduction initiatives that deliver measurable returns. Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and cross-functional teams to share resources, achieve business goals, and leverage best practices across the organization.
  • Review programs and projects for deliverability including adequate resourcing management (people & dollars) and governance procedures and accuracy of financial estimates.
  • Employ DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) strategies through all phases of C.I. Project Management.

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Stage Gate, Supply Chain and Operations

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity especially in the “front end” of the project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of business and innovation strategy, dedicated to cultivating an agile yet structured environment to drive ambitious project goals and expedite speed to market
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of business processes/systems and their interdependencies
  • Ability to follow structured processes while applying creative thinking with flexibility to tackle challenges and develop innovative solutions Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate under pressure, simplifying complex ideas into clear, concise written and verbal messages for teams and stakeholders
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, accurate and work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Successful people management and development skills  

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
  • PMP designation is required
  • Lean Six Sigma \ Black Belt designation is a plus
