About the Team & Impact
Join the Government of Manitoba’s Digital and Technology Services team to lead SAP BASIS infrastructure efforts. You’ll ensure system stability, performance, and security while guiding a team of administrators in a large-scale ERP environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP BASIS administration and infrastructure management
- Ensure system performance, availability, and security
- Guide and mentor BASIS team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ERP projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Create reports and status updates for stakeholders
- Support project planning and execution using PM methodologies
- Maintain documentation and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision
Must-Have Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 7+ years in SAP BASIS administration
- 7+ years in business/system analysis and solution architecture
- 7+ years with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other modules
- 7+ years with Sybase/ASE and Microsoft Office tools
- 3–5 years in a leadership role managing teams
- Experience in large ERP programs and public sector
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with diverse teams
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Indigenous business participation (Canadian or Manitoba)
- Familiarity with Manitoba government processes
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMI, TOGAF)
- Experience with remote team leadership
