As a Sales Representative for The Pittsburgh Paints (Canada) Company Ltd, you will drive sales growth and expanding our business in the PMC & Light Industrial Coatings and Machine Applied Coatings sectors, with a specific focus on the Oil & Gas industry in Calgary. This role is designed for a self-driven "hunter" who excels at creating new business opportunities and generating revenue by acquiring new customers. You will focus on identifying high-value accounts, building relationships, and driving new projects. You will work remotely, travelling up to 70% of your time to meet customer needs and develop the business. You will report to the Regional Sales Director, Protective & Industrial Coatings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and expand customer relationships within your territory, focusing on the Oil & Gas sector and identifying high-value accounts in the Industrial Coatings sector.
  • Drive growth by creating and securing new revenue opportunities with prospective clients, focusing on long-term relationships and creating opportunities in key industries.
  • Collaborate with PPC's internal teams to ensure customer needs are met, ensuring timely deliveries, product specifications, and services are tailored to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage market data and CRM systems to track customer opportunities, manage key projects, and ensure sales targets are met.
  • Help develop commercial relationships and marketing strategies that position PPC as the preferred supplier for Oil & Gas projects.
  • Communicate project developments and contract wins within the sales team to ensure understanding and coordination.
  • Work with PPC’s network of partners and distributors to grow the business and support new product developments and technologies.
  • Manage the development of your region, focusing on positioning and specifications with important players and influencers, such as engineering firms and architects, to further strengthen PPC's market position.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on industrial coatings, technical products, or the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience driving sales, develop customer relationships, and create new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and manage client contracts effectively.
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred and is considered a strong asset.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and capable of working independently to meet sales targets and create opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
  • Preferable: NACE Level 1 Certification.
