Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for developing and executing a focused sales strategy to meet both financial and qualitative objectives. The individual has a proven record of building relationships throughout the market. The Sales Manager will work closely with Agents, Wholesalers, Contractors, Engineers and internal Watts partners in Pricing, Logistics, Training, and other departments to drive success.
The position is based in Burlington, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement, reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Canada, and has no direct supervisory responsibility. Up to 50% travel is required to support customer engagement, training, and industry events.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the voice of the customer and promote a customer centric mindset.
Develop and execute national product sales strategy for the following product portfolios: Radiant/ WaterPex / Hydronics / Dormont while leading strategic account management across the entire Watts portfolio with key wholesale distribution customers
Actively promote and serve as the lead representative of the assigned product portfolio with wholesalers, engineers and contractors.
Develop and execute market sales strategy with sales agents nationally.
Manages and directs all daily and long-range activities, including sales management, customer relations, inventory considerations, proposal development, quotations, pricing strategies, and channel conflict management.
Facilitating or leading training sessions and webinars for groups of 15 to 20 attendees.
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and strengthen Watts Water Technologies brand in the market.
Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent Watts products in the marketplace.
Share best practices and help formulate strategies for identifying, developing, and managing new business channels by leveraging synergies across Watts’s platforms.
Drive the pricing initiatives by collaborating with product management and providing necessary market intelligence, with a consistent emphasis to improve margin.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments internally and be a catalyst for platform success.
Deliver industry leading customer satisfaction through best-in-class training, coaching and development initiatives.
Communicate program performance results on established regular basis to leadership.
Maintain professional and technical industry knowledge of products, channels and industry trends.
Manage a diverse portfolio of mature product lines and support the launch of new and innovative solutions.
Work through the full value chain to improve forecast accuracy and fill rates.
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
Foster positive and collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager and/or Department Director.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field
10+ years of progressive experience in a sales capacity
Strong understanding of the plumbing wholesale channel and contractor market.
Proven business development skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
Relevant product and industry knowledge.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with effective tactical execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.
Prior experience delivering technical or product training to customers or industry partners is considered an asset.

Working Conditions:
This role follows a hybrid work arrangement. You will be required to work in the office at our Burlington location two days per week (Monday, Tuesday) and can work remotely three days per week (Wednesday - Friday). Travel is required based on business needs.

Pay Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is $106k–$120k CAD annually, plus eligibility for commission. Actual compensation will be based on individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
