We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to drive new business acquisition within a defined territory in the Canadian Corporate Legal Market. This role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and closing new client opportunities with Corporate legal departments in Canada.

About the Role:

In this role as a Sales Executive, you will:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Canadian corporate legal sector through strategic prospecting, networking, and research

  • Conduct needs assessments and consultative sales presentations to C-suite executives, legal partners, and decision-makers

  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

  • Navigate complex sales cycles and prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to legal industry needs

  • Maintain deep knowledge of the Canadian legal market landscape, including key players, trends, and competitive dynamics

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target accounts

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and provide market feedback regarding product development and competitive positioning

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts in CRM system

About You:

You're a fit for the Sales Executive role if your background includes:

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably selling to law firms, corporate legal departments, or professional services organizations

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a new business acquisition role

  • Strong understanding of the Canadian legal market structure and business practices

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, consultative sales processes with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management capabilities

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For Ontario, Canada, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $165,000 CAD - $215,000 CAD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
