As a Sales Director (Wholesaler), Investments, you will play a key role in building effective relationships with Independent Financial Advisors in the MGA channel and leading sales development activities in Ontario to increase our market share.

This position requires frequent travel within the province of Ontario, and the selected candidate will work from a home office.

What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Sales Director, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Being the advisor to the advisors.
  • Delivering training to independent advisors on iA segregated funds products, GICs, HISA, sales concepts and software. Training will be delivered in person or virtually.
  • Working to achieve or exceed the sales objectives set by management
  • Building new relationships and developing current ones to their full potential
  • Responsible of developing and implementing a Marketing Plan for the region to achieve the growth objectives.
  • Using your in-depth knowledge of our products and the investment industry in general, along with your interpersonal skills to increase sales and retain assets.
  • Creating and revising presentations using Power Point software.
  • Responding to inquiries through telephone, email, written correspondence, or in person, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attendance at planned conferences, road shows, presentations, and organized events for supporters during day and evening, as required.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is known for their strong presentation and public speaking skills, allowing them to clearly communicate value propositions and influence diverse audiences.
  • Stands out for their excellent interpersonal abilities, enabling them to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of advisors and business partners.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Is recognized for their leadership and ability to influence and motivate others, while also delegating effectively when needed.
  • Has approximately 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably within an insurance company, mutual fund firm, or financial institution, combined with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Possesses solid investment knowledge, with CSC, CIM, LLQP or another professional designation considered a strong asset, along with excellent understanding of segregated funds and the broader investment industry.
  • Thrives both independently and in a team environment, consistently demonstrating autonomy, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of French an asset.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $134 800 and $176 900 CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role. At iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market-based compensation structure. Our market data is updated annually to reflect the most current market conditions.
