Role Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting new customer opportunities to drive repeatable, long-term LGG Industrial business growth. This role focuses on expanding exposure into new industries, sectors, and customers while working closely with Account Managers and Inside Account Managers to transition qualified opportunities into active sales engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads generated through Marketing and proactive outreach
  • Conduct account research and discovery to understand customer needs and opportunities
  • Select and apply appropriate industry and segment-specific scripts
  • Initiate contact via email and phone to schedule qualification calls
  • Qualify leads using BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing)
  • Accurately document and maintain lead data in CRM, including lead stage and status
  • Determine lead qualification status and appropriate account classification
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative through the CRM system
  • Communicate current and emerging market conditions to the Sales Development Manager and sales teams
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and trained

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer service skills with professional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to interpret data and assess opportunities against defined qualification criteria
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong computer literacy and CRM experience
  • Defined aptitude towards hunting with strong weight towards customer discovery

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Strong communication, planning, analytical, project management, business, and financial skills
  • Demonstrated technical acumen
  • Secondary Education preferred
  • Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
