Job Description

Cboe Canada is seeking a talented and motivated Sales Associate to join our dynamic Business Development team. As a sales associate you will support the business development and sales efforts for our listings team.  You will play a key role in identifying and engaging with prospective issuers, financial advisors, and other market participants to drive new corporate listings.  This position requires strong relationship-building skills, financial market knowledge, and the ability to communicate the value of a listing with Cboe. 

Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development Support: Assist sales team members in preparing and delivering pitch materials, market research, and presentations to potential issuers. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing and prospective issuers to support new listings, retention, and market insights.
  • Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data relevant to corporate listings and market trends to support business development strategies.
  • Market Research & Intelligence: Monitor capital markets, industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential listing candidates and business opportunities. 
  • Prospect Lists: Research and maintain prospect lists for corporate listings, track market share metrics and perform win/loss analysis
  • Event & Conference Participation:  Support the team in planning and attending industry conferences, networking events, and corporate presentations to promote Cboe value proposition.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Track sales activities, update CRM systems, and provide regular reporting on leads, engagements, and conversions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of corporate listings initiatives, providing regular updates and insights to the Business Development team.
  • Index Methodologies: Research and maintain information pertaining to index methodologies and eligibility, acting as a subject matter expert for corporate issuers.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc data requests from issuers and prospective issuers, liaising with the Execution Consulting team as necessary, utilizing programs such as Sigma, Salesforce, Pitchbook and Bloomberg.
  • Dashboard Creation: Create and maintain management dashboards in Salesforce to help drive the strategic growth of the Canadian listings business.
  • Customer Support: Support sales and operations as needed through assisting in customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and helping to drive operational efficiencies.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel), and familiarity with business intelligence software (e.g., Salesforce, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Passion for Finance: A genuine interest in corporate listings and a solid understanding of capital markets.
  • Minimum Years of Work Experience: 2+ years
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in business or related field
