We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office.
Shift: 6 Days, 3:00pm to 12:00am.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure driver compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations by reviewing driver logs, identifying potential violations, and assisting in corrective actions.
- Audit driver duty status records using Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate systems to ensure accurate reporting of driving hours, rest periods, and on-duty time.
- Communicate with drivers regarding log discrepancies, missing information, or potential HOS violations and provide guidance on maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure loads and routes are assigned in compliance with driver available hours and regulatory limits.
- Track driver work cycles, rest periods, and reset requirements to support safe and compliant trip planning.
- Maintain documentation of HOS audits, log corrections, and compliance records to support regulatory inspections and internal reporting.
- Assist operations with truck and trailer hazmat labeling compliance to ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to driver calls related to equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance vendors or repair facilities when required.
- Obtain and review repair estimates and approve repairs in accordance with applicable Department of Transportation safety standards.
- Communicate equipment downtime and service disruptions to dispatch and operations teams to help adjust routes and schedules while maintaining HOS compliance.
- Maintain coordination with vendors during repairs to track progress, ensure service quality, and minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements
- Experience with HOS regulation
- Post-secondary diploma is preferred
- Previous experience as a Service Writer is an asset
- Report Generation: Possesses the ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software and/or writing basic queries
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of Truck maintenance and repair is required
- Availability to work either a Saturday or Sunday as part of your regular weekly schedule required
- Willingness to work in an office environment that is open 24*7, 365 days a year
