Must Haves:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support PHSD backend services using Java and Spring Boot. 
  • Develop and enhance React-based user interfaces supporting provider search, directory management, and administration. 
  • Design and implement FHIR R4/R4B APIs using Smile CDR and AWS HealthLake. 
  • Develop real-time provider data synchronization between PHSD and the Agency master data management platforms. 
  • Design and implement integrations with Provider Registry, hospital information systems, and provincial healthcare services. 
  • Build scalable healthcare search capabilities using OpenSearch and FHIR search standards. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs supporting internal and external consuming applications. 
  • Implement SMART on FHIR authentication and authorization workflows. 
  • Develop secure OAuth2/OIDC authentication and JWT authorization services. 
  • Implement healthcare interoperability using HL7v2 and FHIR messaging patterns. 
  • Design scalable cloud-native AWS architectures supporting high availability and operational resilience. 
  • Develop data transformation, validation, synchronization, and governance services supporting provider, practitioner, organization, healthcare service, and location information. 
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews. 
  • Support automated testing, CI/CD deployment pipelines, production releases, troubleshooting, and operational support. 
  • Produce technical documentation, API specifications, deployment documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
