Role Title
RPA Developer
Purpose of role
With the growing demand within the organization, we have established the RPA program as a year-on-year funded initiative with an evolving product backlog and it is being developed and delivered in-house along with our delivery partners.
The RPA Developer is ultimately responsible for understanding the manual business processes that are to be automated, designing and developing RPA solutions, sometimes in partnership with other IT technical and business leads, implementing in production, and supporting production implementations of bots and integrated solutions.
In this role, the RPA Developer will closely work with the program lead and program manager, other IT SMEs, and business owners/managers of the operational process.
Foresters is in the formative stages of the RPA journey, and there is an opportunity here to shape, own, and scale automation strategy across the enterprise to enable business transformation.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding the current business process
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions to create a PDD (process definition document) and SDD (solution design document)
- Evaluate the fitment for an RPA process automation
- Using the RPA tooling and Foresters established coding standards, lead the design, development, and implementation of RPA solutions using UiPath to automate business processes and maintain bots in production
- Monitor and support any changes after implementation and ensure the required results are being achieved
- Work closely with other RPA developers, BA, Architect, QA, Project Manager and business stakeholders throughout the course of the project
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of RPA solutions by following best practices and coding standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior RPA developers
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RPA bots in production
- Continuously monitor and optimize RPA solutions to improve performance and efficiency
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in RPA technology and incorporate them into the development process.
Key Qualifications
- Education (minimum required): Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT
- Experience (minimum required): At least 5+ years of professional experience in RPA technologies with specialization in UiPath
- RPA certifications (UiPath)
- Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills (pivotal for this role) to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong application development with experience in one or more RPA technologies – must specialize in UiPath
- At least 5-10 years of professional experience in programming (including scripting /coding), SQL and relational databases, and application development
- Experience with Process Analysis, Design, and Implementation, Business and Technical requirements, Problem-Solving, and System(s) Testing, including UAT and Bug fixes
- Should be able to prioritize and manage multiple enhancements
- Experience integrating RPA solutions with other systems/applications
- Knowledge of OCR technology – preferably Power Automate
- Experience with AI and related technologies
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure
- Proven experience in leading RPA projects from inception to deployment
