Position Description
We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our PSX R&D department in Uppsala, focusing on providing outstanding products to our customers.
As part of the Focus team, you will contribute to both the creation of new custom panels and the improvement of existing ones. This role is based at the PSX headquarters in Uppsala.
Our Development Engineers act as a support function within the team, helping our Senior Development Engineers and Scientists wherever needed, from lab work to data analysis. This role involves working collaboratively within the team and as well as with other departments, supporting in project work to deliver high quality custom products to our customers.
Primary responsibilities
- Plan and perform laboratory work in accordance with set project plans and work schedules.
- Evaluate, report and document results from the laboratory work according to existing procedures
- Develop existing procedures and protocols for more complex tasks
- Analyse data using existing software
- Participates in research and development of product concepts and ideas.
- Contribute to the strategic work of the section
- Authority to make decisions in accordance with assigned tasks
- Work in accordance with Olink’s quality system and relevant instructions for laboratory work.
Qualifications and skills
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience within the life science industry,
- Proven hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, qPCR, NGS, and immunological assays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, full professional proficiency in English and Swedish.
- A collaborative, proactive and organized team-player
