Work with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across FX, rates, commodities and equities; support engagement management; perform analytical testing and reporting; maintain client relationships, identify upsell opportunities, present the technology platform, and ensure compliance with FCA rules and internal policies.
This role will sit in the Advisory team at Validus, and will be responsible for:
- Working with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across various markets and asset classes (FX, rates, commodities, equities).
- Provide support to the Engagement Manager.
- Assist in analytical testing of solutions.
- Assist associates in analyzing client information and preparing periodic performance reports.
- Developing relationships with a small number of high-value clients receiving the Validus retainer service, including:
- Strategic consultancy services.
- Innovative project work.
- Proactive client service.
- Presentation of technology platform.
- Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and assisting in the business development process.
- Keep up to date with academic, technical and industry developments.
- Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations.
- Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
RequirementsQualifications and Education Requirements
- 1–3 years' professional experience, preferably within management consulting, capital markets, investment banking, or Private Equity / Hedge Funds.
- Relevant undergraduate degree.
SKILLS
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail and client-centric approach
- Understanding of risk management in financial markets
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, exposure to Bloomberg
- Time management/ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Benefits
- Validus assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $70,000 and $85,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualised basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the Validus total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include, generous bonus, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
