About the Role
The Director, Revenue Optimization & Analytics is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously refining the analytics, insights, and frameworks that drive profitable growth within the SME portfolio. This role leads the design and enhancement of pricing analytics, revenue optimization levers, performance reporting, and market insights that enable data-driven credit and pricing decisions. The Director works cross-functionally to ensure data-driven strategies translate into measurable financial outcomes and operational improvements.
What You'll Do
- Develop analytical frameworks that optimize pricing, margins, and revenue yield across the SME portfolio.
- Build, maintain, and enhance pricing models that support automated and scalable decision-making.
- Conduct elasticity modeling, margin analysis, and in-market testing to inform pricing recommendations that balance competitiveness and profitability.
- Identify and quantify revenue opportunities across the portfolio, including pricing adjustments, fee strategies, product mix optimization, and customer segmentation.
- Oversee the development of dashboards, reporting suites, and performance metrics related to sales funnel, credit outcomes, pricing effectiveness, and portfolio profitability.
- Analyze delinquency, loss trends, approval rates, yields, and other KPIs to identify performance drivers and recommend proactive interventions.
- Support research into emerging and alternative data sources (e.g., telematics, vehicle usage) that can enhance risk and revenue models.
- Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and AI/ML tools to strengthen forecasting, pricing, and decision automation.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Technology teams to ensure Element’s data infrastructure can ingest, transform, and operationalize data from new external vendors, enabling its use in pricing, credit, and AI-driven models.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or a related field with strong quantitative foundations.
- 8 – 10 years of experience in analytics, pricing, revenue management, risk modeling, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience building and interpreting financial, pricing, or risk models.
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, asset finance, or SME lending economics.
- Proven ability to translate complex analytics into business strategies and executive-ready insights.

- Strong enterprise mindset and financial acumen, with the ability to leverage strategic data analysis to inform business decisions and drive profitable growth.
- Demonstrated ability to transition seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on analytical execution to advance pricing, credit, and revenue optimization objectives.
- Critical thinker who can develop innovative, data-driven solutions to meet evolving client needs and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Strong understanding of current analytical technologies, AI/ML tools, and data solutions that can accelerate decision-making and improve portfolio performance.
- Proven ability to act as a change leader – driving innovation, influencing stakeholders across Sales, Product, Finance, and Risk, and improving performance outcomes through collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex analytics into clear, compelling insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Toronto
The hiring base salary range for this position is $133,400 - $183,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
