About the Opportunity:

As a Professional Services Resource Manager, you will be working with the Professional Services Leadership team to develop and implement capacity management strategies to maximize project throughput. You will manage the resource assignment workflow from pre-planning to post onboarding. You will partner with PS Leadership to balance resource utilization targets with project margin goals and employee skill development. Additionally, you will work with the PS Sales team to build and communicate forecasts in order to determine new or changing resource trends to ensure we have adequate resources and the right skills to meet customers needs.

Our ideal candidate will be very organized and data driven. Ultimately, this person should have good communication and decision making skills with the ability to think creatively to resolve problems in order to utilize and balance resource allocations to meet project demands. As a part of a fast growing culture, this role will also be constantly looking for ways to improve processes for Docebo focusing on resource utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day resource allocation across our Professional Services engagements, ensuring projects are staffed quickly with appropriately skilled consultants or delivery partners

  • Partner with Professional Services Leadership and Sales to support pipeline planning and ensure resource availability aligns with upcoming project demand

  • Develop workforce plans by analyzing sales pipeline activities and historical delivery data to uncover hiring triggers

  • Analyze utilization trends and variance reports to provide weekly capacity advisories to leadership, flagging risks before they impact project delivery;

  • Own the maintenance and evolution of the skills matrix/taxonomy, ensuring the organization is tracking the right competencies for future market demands;

  • Architect and enforce resource management governance, continuously optimizing workflows from pre-planning to delivery;

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for managers for resource contention, negotiating trade-offs between competing high-priority projects to maximize overall organizational health.

  • Work closely with department leaders to maintain relevant system data for employees and projects

Education & Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in resource management, services operations, workforce planning, or delivery operations within a SaaS or consulting environment

  • Strong understanding of Professional sErvices delivery models and project lifecycle practices

  • Experience supporting pipeline driven staffing and capacity planning

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders and projects

  • Experience in either the LMS or HCM field a plus

  • Experience working with PSA tools such as, Mavenlink (Kantata) or similar

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting global or distributed delivery teams.

  • Familiarity with hybrid delivery models that include partner or outsourced services.

  • Experience tracking services delivery metrics such as utilization, delivery timelines, and project quality indicators.
