Position Overview 

The Resources Management Coordinator is responsible for planning and allocating resources to client engagement or internal projects, maximizing utilization while protecting service quality.

This role works closely with project managers, technical leaders, sales, and designers to ensure the right skills are aligned to the right projects at the right time. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment at the intersection of people, process, and data. 

What You’ll Be Doing:  

  • Collaborate with project managers, sales and key stakeholders to understand resource needs 
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of the assignment and availability of resources, and identifies capacity gaps
  • Work closely with technical managers to effectively assign resources 
  • Communicate resource allocation and updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Optimize resource utilization by identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, or workload imbalances 
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve resource-related conflicts, negotiate resource sharing and balance competing priorities
  • Ensure resource skill profiles are reviewed and updated in the system on a quarterly basis 
  • Meet with new designers to explain resourcing processes
  • Work closely with project managers on various items such as scheduling questions and resource requests 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive skillset summaries
  • Coordinate and prepare designers for customer interviews 
  • Collaborate with the broader resource management team on cross-discipline staffing needs 

Who You Are: 

  • Completion of post-secondary education 
  • Minimum five years of experience in resource management or a related role, ideally in a high-technology services organization
  • Demonstrated skills in resource planning and allocation
  • Exposure to working in a project management environment
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines 
  • Experience using resource management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Experience in working with remote or geographically dispersed teams is an asset

Annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. The final offer within this range takes into account the variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, and with consideration to internal equity.
