AtkinsRéalis is a key delivery partner for the airports and aviation sector. We are hiring for a Resiliency Planning Specialist to join our growing team. The Specialist will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects within the organization, ensuring that they are executed according to scope, schedule, cost, quality standards, and risk management protocols. The incumbents require a wealth of experience in managing large infrastructure projects, particularly in the context of international airport development or other similar complex programs.

This role will be based on site in Toronto, ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Incorporates resiliency needs into water programs, including stormwater, water conservation, and water quality.
  • Work closely with other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to assist the Program Lead in delivering project objectives.
  • Partner with the Program Lead to track contractor performance, addressing any issues and escalating decisions when necessary.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and obtain required consultations and approvals.
  • Work with the contractor to secure essential permits, approvals, and consents while managing site logistics to support smooth project execution.
  • Oversee the completion of work in accordance with scope, timelines, costs, quality standards, and risk management protocols.

The ideal candidate:

  • A recognized degree and professional designation in an environmental relevant field are considered an asset, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the environment, energy, or sustainable design sector.
  • Experience of delivering sustainability outcomes in the infrastructure sector on large complex programs is desirable, especially those candidates with an understanding of Net Zero, decarbonization (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions), climate risk assessment and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and deliver complex projects and programs successfully.
