The research engineer will focus on solving the structure from motion problem, contributing to 3D reconstruction in various industries using AI.
Third Dimension is building SuperSim, a new kind of simulator which can enable fast, cost-effective and photorealistic 3D simulations directly from source data using AI. We are working with customers across multiple industries, including autonomous vehicles, drones, robots in industrial and manufacturing environments, and more.
About the role:
We're looking for a research engineer interesting in solving the structure from motion problem, arguably the most challenging part of any 3D reconstruction pipeline.
Preferred Qualifications and skills:
- Strong mathematical and statistical background with deep insights into machine learning algorithms.
- Expert in Structure from Motion
- Expert in SLAM, state estimation.
- 3+ years of practical work experience in computer vision, with hands-on development experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Radiance Fields (Nerf, Gaussian Splatting, etc.).
- Proficient in using open-source deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Experience in model training and performance optimization.
- Contributions to popular open-source machine learning projects.
- Publications in top-tier AI/ML/CV conferences.
Location:
- London, UK / Graz, Austria: This is a priority for us, as we're trying to build a presence around our already existing team in London or Graz. Hybrid in office preferred
- Remote: If London is not an option, but you're amazing, we're open to having you work out your home location.
