Reporting to the National Sales Manager, a Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling all core Renishaw metrology products: Calibration, Machine Tool, CMM, and Styli via both account management and new business development within a specific territory.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for sales and support of Renishaw technology in the field of Precision Measurement through OEM, distribution and end user channels.
  • Management of OEM, Distributor, End User, and EDU Accounts.
  • Introduction of Renishaw Technologies to the above-mentioned channels.
  • Develop and effectively deliver customer presentations and demonstration of products.
  • Establish, report on and achieve set sales targets.
  • Leveraging a CRM, maintain a book of business and grow customer base in given territory.
  • Other Duties as Assigned or Requested

Qualifications

Education and Experience:  Minimum

  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience with proven track record, selling technology and solutions to OEM’s, OEM distributors and end user.
  • Bilingual-English and French

Education and Experience:  Preferred

  • Experience with precision measurement equipment (Gauging, CMM, Form, Finish, and Calibration).
  • Technical degree
  • This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data.  The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR controlled data.  The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies

  • Goal-driven with the ability to be resilient if faced with rejection.
  • Persistence in achieving and exceeding key metrics and sales targets.
  • Comprehension and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Understanding principals of metrology.
  • Ability to learn, understand and explain the technical aspects of products.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels/functions of staff, including management, technical staff and purchasing.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to adapt to diverse personalities (customers, engineers, internal partners)
  • Demonstrated ability and success in cold-calling and educating new customers to open new opportunities to companies that may not have heard of Renishaw.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills – must be organized to maintain and grow a book of business.
  • Experience with and confidence in using technology, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Capability to sell solutions (listening, documenting, constructing, presenting and delivering)
  • History of self-motivation and results orientation
  • Time management/multitasking capability
  • Mechanical aptitude (working with machinery and motion systems)
