WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Achieve sales goals for nVent ERICO/ILSCO businesses in the Eastern Canada region by successfully converting new business, primarily from projects and new product sales across  Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada
  • Actively lead 3rd party sales agents, aligning goals with territory strategy
  • Build relationships across all levels of key end user customers and local distributor partners
  • Provide expertise in use of products and coordinate training of key contractors
  • Deliver and refine presentations and lead discussions highlighting our benefits and value propositions
  • Develop sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve regional sales targets
  • Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve solution set and refine message
  • Use Salesforce as a tool to manage opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally
  • While we have this role posted in multiple locations, we will only be making 1 hire*

YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or applicable experience in technical outside sales
  • Must be proficient with verbal and written English language, french verbal and written language skills would be helpful
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical outside sales experience with a focus on commercial sales
  • Ideally 5+ years outside sales and/or territory management
  • Experience working with end user customers on projects
  • Experience leading direct reports and/or 3rd party sales agents
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com
  • Strong preference for technical sales and value based selling skills
  • Will work out of home office anywhere in the sales region and travel 50% within region; regular overnight trips expected due to sizeable region. A current and valid driver’s license required

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.
Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.
Total Target Cash Range:
112,000.00 - 160,000.00+
