As Regional Sales Manager, you will manage and engage with independent retail distributor/dealership to facilitate and maximize the share and sales of company products in an assigned region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with management and sales staff to achieve Business Plan that sets specific marketing goals and objectives for each distributorship/dealer in assigned region
  • Works with distributor/dealer sales management on sales pipeline, account development plans, awareness and participation in assigned region.
  • Acts as primary liaison/contact between distributorship/dealer and Company and is responsible for communications on marketing programs; relationship issues; changes in corporate positions and/or policy
  • Makes personal visits to each distributorship/dealer for the purpose of enhancing product knowledge; marketing objective management; end user/customer visits; corporate communication on behalf of the Company
  • While not traveling, maintains continual contact with each distributorship/dealer through telephone, teams’ meetings, e-mail and other means of communication for the purpose of product sales promotion, problem resolution, marketing needs, goal achievement status
  • Participates in product training activities both at the factory and dealer locations; prospect/customer visits to the factory; other promotional events as directed
  • Daily use of Salesforce CRM to record business activity
  • Ability to become technically proficient on all KION equipment to include new products for the purpose of demonstration
  • Ability to work closely with the internal KION support staff to help meet customers’ requirements

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related field preferred Equivalent experience is accepted
  • Sales experience in the industrial truck industry or related equipment sales preferred
  • Experience with territory management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce.com
