JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose 

The Regional COP Manager will play a key role in driving sales through data-driven decision-making and optimizing merchandising strategies across multiple categories. This role will leverage advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions to maximize profitability and achieve business objectives. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Category Optimization: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions, maximizing profitability and achieving sales targets. Focus on driving Sysco brand product growth. 

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple categories, identify variances, and conduct root cause analysis to inform corrective actions and improve overall performance. 

  • Reporting & Insights: Develop and deliver insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior management. 

  • Project Management: Lead and manage data-driven projects, including the development and implementation of new analytical models and the integration of new data sources. 

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with merchandising managers, sales teams, and other cross-functional teams to share insights, support decision-making, and drive successful business outcomes. Partner with Sales to educate customers. 

  • Industry Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and category management. 

  • Industry Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry associations. 

 

Skills 

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and presentation skills. 

  • Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software. 

  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the foodservice industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

Education 

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
