Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development and Architecture

Posting Type: Replacement Position

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $119,000

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career – What you’ll do

Collaborate with cross‑functional technology teams to design, develop, and enhance mobile software solutions that support Moneris’ business‑critical platforms. You’ll focus on reliability, security, and scalability while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our Android‑based React Native applications.

You will be accountable to:

• Translate product and technical requirements into well‑designed React Native solutions that enhance functionality and performance across mobile platforms.

• Lead development of new features and enhancements within a complex, existing mobile application, including refactoring components to improve maintainability and scalability.

• Contribute to application architecture and technical design decisions, applying modern software development best practices across the full development lifecycle.

• Deliver production‑ready code using established standards for source control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Partner with product, QA, and other internal stakeholders to validate requirements, support testing cycles, and ensure high‑quality releases.

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, user experience, and long‑term technical health of the application.

• Provide guidance through peer code reviews and support the technical growth of less‑experienced team members.

Your Moneris Career – What you bring

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of four years of experience in software development within a production environment.

• Proven experience building and maintaining mobile applications using React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience contributing to application architecture and design decisions within complex software systems.

• Experience leading defined features or project components and collaborating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with payment systems or merchant acquiring platforms.

• Exposure to Kotlin or native Android development.

• iOS development experience.
