Reporting to the Strategy Director, JANA’s Quality Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust quality management system, overseeing audits, conducting quality incident investigations (QII), and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, while driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement an effective quality management system that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Establish and communicate quality policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and evaluating product quality.
- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of the quality management system to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and identify non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented as necessary.
- Coordinate with auditors and stakeholders to facilitate audit processes, ensuring timely completion of audits and resolution of findings.
- Document audit findings, generate comprehensive reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to address identified gaps.
- Lead and facilitate QII meetings and improvement initiatives to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancements.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to encourage employee participation in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Establish and track quality objectives, metrics, and targets to drive performance improvement.
- Develop and implement effective quality improvement programs and initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other relevant methodologies.
- Work with product and process teams to identify the potential impacts of new product features and process changes on quality.
- Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels to foster a quality-focused mindset and empower them to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of team members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members excel in their roles.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, software engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar role within the engineering, software, or financial industry.
- 3+ years leadership experience managing team members and quality initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
- Experience in performing audits and leading improvement initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to train and mentor employees on quality management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification (nice to have)
