Job Description:

Job Description – What You'll Do

Lead the creation of comprehensive, effective end-to-end test strategies and plans for platforms and projects on high profile, complex and high-risk initiatives with significant impact to the organization. Overall accountability on test approach and test delivery, maximizing automation to provide for fast delivery based on requirements and specifications.

Provide test expertise with a focus on efficiency, developing innovative solutions covering all aspects of testing, with a focus on automation, end-to-end solutioning leveraging diverse solutions such as test data management, service virtualization and/or test environment provisioning.

Will act as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role or as Journey Test Lead partnering with Journey Solution Train Engineers (SLTE), Release Train Engineers (RTE), and Product Family to provide a broad range of test services and strategies, ensuring business needs and objectives are achieved. Scope is across multiple platforms and/or multiple lines of business influencing QE teams to achieve goals.

  • Provide advanced test development support.
  • Accountable for test architecture activities.
  • Sitting at the Product Group (PG) level, act as a quality expert working across numerous development teams in medium complexity deliveries.
  • Act as an expert who can quickly troubleshoot and is accountable for use of automation frameworks across numerous delivery teams as needed.
  • Ensure quality of source code; look for opportunities to effectively leverage tools and engineering practices such as DevOps tools and processes, service virtualization, monitoring tools and processes, etc.
  • Accountable for early contributions to the design and development process to ensure built-in quality code.

Job Requirements – What You Need to Succeed

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong academic background, such as software engineering or computer science.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in Java, Rest Assured, Selenium and Appium
  • Advanced experience in software configuration code and release management.
  • Advanced knowledge of test architecture frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge/expertise in test planning, design, automation, and execution.
  • Primary subject matter expert able to consult with stakeholders or cross-functional teams with respect to all aspects of quality software delivery.
  • Hands-on expertise understanding architecture blueprints and diagrams including logical data models and translating them into efficient test approaches.
  • Expert knowledge of specific domain and quality engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Business and technology acumen across multiple areas; seeks out and identifies opportunities to benefit the bank and/or introduce operational improvements.
  • Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills; investigates and analyzes potential solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex application/solution issues as needed, escalating to leadership or other stakeholders when necessary; can play a leadership role to drive activities.
  • Ability to drive and support delivery of quality solutions across pods or medium to high complexity/size scope across one product line/business.
  • Deep experience applying new/advanced techniques and approaches in testing and automation, such as BDD and Machine Learning, and ability to lead their implementation in the platform or project.
  • Future-focused: foresee issues and gaps and identify industry trends.
  • Effectively lead team, participate in, and drive collaboration.
