You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.
How you will contribute
You will support elements of the site's quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the updating and maintenance of all GMP documentation for the site, and to support the quality team by ensuring daily operations are conducted in compliance to corporate and local Quality Policies and SOPs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure all core competency trainings are completed according to policy.
Perform review and filing of all site documentation to ensure compliance to GMPs, GDPs, operating instructions, and specifications.
Assist in the investigations of consumer complaints, root cause analyses, corrective actions (CAPAs), internal non-conformances, supporting completion of incident reports in a timely manner, internal audits, training and other compliance related activities.
In conjunction with the Quality, Operations and Engineering teams, coordinate the site's Change Control program by assisting in routing of approvals, creating and revising SOPs/WIs, creating and updating Production and Packaging documents for distribution and performing verification of change implementation.
Utilizing the Consumer Complaint Work Process assist in conducting consumer complaint investigations and development of corrective actions.
Work in conjunction with the production and processing teams to manage the retain program.
Support the Quality team in ensuring non-conforming materials are properly controlled, identified and disposition appropriately as per local SOPs and Corporate Quality Requirements
Conduct GMP and Quality Policy audits as scheduled.
Work in safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards in the department and workplace.
Must be able to prioritize work for maximum time effectiveness and efficiency. Must be able to handle a number of situations at one time including concentrating and pay close attention to detail.
Must have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision.
Perform other duties as required as assigned by the Quality Manager.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
BS Degree in Food Science or other technical field or equivalent years of related experience.
SPECIALIZED JOB KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Adaptable - must handle multiple situations at one time and be able to prioritize

Experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
