Job Description

Job Summary

CA Quality Assurance Analyst with our Product Development team in Toronto is responsible for developing test cases and scripts and keeping them up-to date with evolving systems. Performing various types of testing. appropriate to the phase of the project or iteration. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.

Job Responsibilities

  • Being an expert on the various Stewart applications and their business rules through constant exposure and learning
  • Reading, understanding, and creating use cases, user stories, glossaries, and other forms of requirement-specification documents.
  • Developing test cases and scripts and keeping them up to date with the evolving systems
  • Performing various types of testing, appropriate to the phase of the project or iteration
  • Recording and organizing test results consistently and clearly
  • Managing testing feedback from others, including SMEs
  • Reviewing, recording and organizing test results consistently and clearly
  • Reporting bugs and errors to the development team and managing testing feedback from others, including Subject Matter Experts
  • Collaborating with developers, business analysts, project managers, and projects stakeholders
  • Developing documentation relating to software validation/verification and client releases including but not limited to user specifications, training guides, etc. when needed.
  • Recording detailed notes of any project meetings
  • Contributing to the evolution of the testing processes in Product Development including implementation of any automated testing
  • Contributing to solutions that exhibit a strong understanding of the business need, user experience, and technical constraints.
  • Understanding and advising on risk of possible implementations
  • Other duties as required or assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software quality assurance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Excellent organizational skills and accuracy
    • Able to adapt to the company’s changing needs.
    • Strong work ethic: Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
    • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Team player
    • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and its basic concepts
    • Firm grasp of user interface design best practices and conventions
    • Understanding of Agile methodology
    • Understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or TFS a plus
    • Insurance domain experience a plus

    Salary Range - $75,000 to $85,000 annually
