Quality Analyst

Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UI, web services, and database
testing, along with proficiency in Jira for test management. This role involves developing
and implementing testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of our software
products.

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies.
• Design, write, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures on
• Xray
• Conduct thorough testing on software applications, including UI, web services, and
• databases.
• Defect management – knows jira fields and how to use them for better.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality software
• development.
• Perform both manual and automated testing.
• Collaborate with business to understand end user flows and incorporate into testing.
• Ensure the latest industry practices and technologies are applied.
• Manage any potential risks related to product quality and raise flag early.
• Understand stakeholders and ensure clear communication is established.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to fellow QA Engineers.
• Prefer if they love documentation and even if they don’t love – should be willing to
• document process, knowledge, system in a reusable fashion.
• Aware of testing KPIs and willing to learn ways to contribute to better metrics
• Good to have - Jira dashboard skills.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven work experience as a Senior QA Engineer.
• Experience with UI, web services, and database testing.
• Proficiency in Jira for test management.
• Medium proficiency in writing SQL queries, including basic joins on tables.
• Basic Unix skills to log in to servers and navigate logs.
• Experience with web service testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of REST basics.
• Working knowledge of relational database.
• System knowledge to understand the scope of testing (UI, DB, or web service).
• Clear understanding of types of testing and how to group and prioritize tests under
• respective suites (Smoke, Integration, Regression).
• Knowledge of Jenkins – how deployment jobs function, how to integrate automation
• test jobs to deployment pipeline.

AUTOMATION TESTING
The successful candidate will hold:

• Mentality to automate any repetitive tasks.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium , TestNG or JUnit, and
• Cucumber.
• Proficiency in Java or any other JavaScript automation test tools.
• Ability to identify what to automate and what not to automate.
• Understands clear segregation of business logic, scope testing accordingly
• Understands and practices Test Pyramid
• Knows BDD
• Soft skills
• Ability to push back and challenge when QA processes are not met.
• Ability to define and lead test strategy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Playwright.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on jenkins
