🤙🏼 About gaiia

At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation, and everything in between.

We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, flexible vacation, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!

🎭 Role & Team

Long story short, we're looking to hire a QA Specialist with excellent technical skills and communication abilities to join our 3 legendary QAs. You will be expected to foster a culture of excellence by setting and maintaining high standards of quality across our software.

Our QA Specialists are assigned to multiple development squads, where they become experts in their fields. Our typical Feature Squads are comprised of 4 Full-Stack Developers (including a Team Lead), one Product Manager, one Product Designer and one QA Specialist (that’s you).

Your role will be to ensure that the software is free from bugs, works as expected, follows consistent design standards, and meets the needs of our users. You will do so by designing and executing tests, identifying and reporting defects, write automated tests and collaborating closely with developers and other team members.

📽 What is your team working on?

Know that we have a bunch of projects going on in parallel, but here is an interesting sample of products under development:

  • White-label Checkout & Customer Portal: Provide Communication Service Providers with a turn-key, highly customizable customer onboarding and self-service apps that allows their customers to subscribe to and customize their services as well as managing their billing and support tickets, without the need for any technical knowledge or complex setup.
  • Scheduling & Field Technician Management: Allow dispatchers to optimize field technicians’ daily route based on real-world conditions, while tracking and assigning pieces of equipment to truck rolls. Allow field technicians to track their work orders, complete tasks based on instructions and manage equipment.
  • Customer Management: Provide a central hub for all customer information, providing Customer Service Representatives a single source of truth. Support powerful automations, such as one-click internet activation, cancellation and service modification.
  • Network Monitoring & Incident Response: Allow Customer Service Representatives to troubleshoot network issues and generate automated incident responses based on real-time network monitoring.
🎖️ Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, either in software or web development testing.
  • Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control and bug management.
  • Strong communication skills for efficient collaboration with different team functions.
  • Remarkable rigour and attention to details.
  • Comfortable with both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Ghost Inspector, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with mobile application testing.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility is a plus.
💰Salary

At gaiia, we have a transparent salary philosophy and a robust evaluation and compensation framework. It translates to a fair and impartial model where salaries are published internally, healthy discussions about compensation and performance can exist, and taboos are removed.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000.

🔆 Benefits
  • Flexible 25-days of vacation.
  • Stock Options Plan.
  • Group Insurance.
  • Telemedicine.
  • Life Spending Account.
  • RRSP & DPSP.
  • Flexible working hours & all-remote work.

We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity. Our workplace is fully remote and boasts accessible technologies, ensuring all team members can thrive. Should you require accommodations due to a disability during the application process, please contact us at 581-996-9639 or [email protected] as per the Accessible Canada Act and human rights legislation. We're here to support you every step of the way. #LI-DNI
